What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mrcool's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for the first Development Center is $50,000. This fee is payable and due upon the execution of the applicable Franchise Agreement for the First Development Center. This fee is in addition to the Development Area Fee.
For a prospective Mrcool franchisee, this means that upon signing the franchise agreement for their first development center, they must pay Mrcool $50,000. This is a one-time fee and is separate from any other fees associated with the development area.
It's important to note that this fee only applies to the first development center. The FDD states that the initial franchise fee for each additional Development Center is $0 (waived), provided the franchisee is not in default of the MRCOOL Multi-Unit Development Agreement and any other agreements with Mrcool.
