What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for most expenses related to the initial training program. Mr. Sandless provides tuition-free training for up to three people, including the franchisee or one of the principals of the company, the designated manager, and the technical manager.
However, the franchisee is responsible for all other training-related expenses. These expenses include travel to and from the training site, lodging accommodations for additional people beyond the three covered by the tuition, dining expenses, and employee salaries. The initial training program lasts between two and five days and includes both classroom and hands-on experience.
This means a prospective Mr. Sandless franchisee needs to budget for these additional costs when planning their initial investment. These costs can vary significantly depending on the location of the training site, the number of employees attending, and travel distances. It is important to note that trainees will not be paid for any services they perform during the training program.
