What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Mr. Sandless Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no mention of specific requirements for an annual business plan. The document does outline the consultation and advice Mr. Sandless will provide regarding various business aspects such as flooring techniques, merchandising, sales, and personnel development. Franchisees are also obligated to meet certain performance criteria, such as completing a minimum number of floor jobs per month. However, the FDD does not explicitly state that franchisees must create an annual business plan or detail any requirements for such a plan.
While the FDD does not specify business plan requirements, it emphasizes the importance of franchisees operating their businesses in compliance with Mr. Sandless's policies and procedures. This suggests that while a formal business plan may not be mandated, franchisees are expected to adhere to the franchisor's established methods and standards. The franchisor also provides ongoing support and advice, indicating a collaborative approach to business management.
Prospective Mr. Sandless franchisees should inquire directly with the franchisor about whether an annual business plan is required or recommended. If a business plan is expected, franchisees should ask for specific guidelines, templates, or examples to ensure their plan aligns with the franchisor's expectations and supports the franchisee's success. Understanding the franchisor's expectations regarding business planning will help franchisees effectively manage their operations and achieve their business goals.
