What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Mr. Sandless retains the right to mandate that franchisees implement a "systems backup solution." This solution is designed to create backups of critical data stored on the franchisee's Computer Equipment, utilizing an off-premises storage method. Furthermore, Mr. Sandless maintains the right to access the franchisee's backed-up data upon request.
This requirement ensures that Mr. Sandless can protect important data related to the business. By using an off-premises storage scheme, the data is protected from local disasters or hardware failures.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they must be prepared to implement and maintain a system backup solution as directed by Mr. Sandless. The franchisee will also need to grant Mr. Sandless access to this backed-up data. The FDD does not specify who bears the cost of the systems backup solution.
