What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to contribute to both a local advertising spend and the Advertising Fund. Franchisees must spend a minimum of $1,500 each month on local advertising to promote their franchised business within their designated territory. They must also provide quarterly reports and documentation of these local advertising expenditures upon request.

In addition to the local advertising requirement, Mr. Sandless franchisees must contribute to the Advertising Fund. This contribution is calculated as 1% of the franchisee's gross sales each month. These contributions are specifically stated to be in addition to the local advertising requirements. The Advertising Fund is used for national, regional, and local advertising, publicity, and promotion related to the Mr. Sandless system.

Mr. Sandless retains full discretion over how the Advertising Fund is spent, including its allocation across various advertising mediums such as television, radio, magazine, social media, and the internet. The franchisor also has the right to adjust geographic and market areas for advertising implementation. While the fund aims to maximize public recognition of the Mr. Sandless brand, there is no guarantee that each franchisee will directly benefit proportionally to their contributions.
