Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must attend all Annual Conventions, if scheduled, unless exigent circumstances exist and you receive our prior approval not to attend, or in the event that the nature of the exigent circumstances renders obtaining prior approval impracticable, you must notify us of the reasons for your non-attendance as soon as it becomes practicable. All costs related to the Annual Convention, including but not limited to, travel expenses, lodging and entertainment shall be your sole responsibility.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Mr. Sandless Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for all costs related to the Annual Convention, including travel, lodging, and entertainment expenses. This means that beyond the initial franchise fee and ongoing royalty payments, a Mr. Sandless franchisee must also budget for these additional expenses to attend the annual conventions.

While the FDD outlines the franchisee's responsibility for expenses related to the Annual Convention, it does not explicitly detail the costs associated with other additional training programs or seminars beyond the annual convention. However, it does state that the franchisee must satisfy the then-current training requirements for continuing franchisees at their expense when signing a Successor Franchise Agreement.

Therefore, a prospective Mr. Sandless franchisee should inquire with the franchisor about the specific costs associated with any required or recommended training programs and seminars beyond the initial training and annual convention. Understanding these potential expenses is crucial for accurate financial planning and ensuring the franchisee can meet all ongoing obligations.
