Does Mr. Sandless have the discretion to provide continuing education training programs or seminars after the Business opens?

After your Business opens, we will:

  1. Provide consultation and advice concerning the management and operation of the Business as we deem necessary and appropriate. (Franchise Agreement, Section 8)
    1. Provide, in our discretion, continuing education training programs or seminars for previously trained franchisees, Designated Managers, Technical Managers and employees and require you and/or your employees to attend and successfully complete these programs or seminars. (Franchise Agreement, Section 4.2)
    1. Maintain a National Advertising Fund, as described below. (Franchise Agreement, Section 13.4)
    1. Review your local advertising materials to determine if they comply with our specifications. (Franchise Agreement, Section 13.5)
    1. Provide additional training programs, seminars and/or franchisee conventions, in our sole discretion. (Franchise Agreement, Sections 4.2 and 4.3)

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Mr. Sandless has the discretion to provide continuing education training programs or seminars for franchisees, Designated Managers, Technical Managers, and employees after the business opens. Mr. Sandless also has the right to require franchisees and/or their employees to attend and successfully complete these programs or seminars.

Mr. Sandless may also provide additional training programs, seminars, and/or franchisee conventions at their sole discretion. Mr. Sandless may require franchisees and any designated employee to complete additional training programs or seminars, but will not require attendance at more than one program per calendar year, and each program will not last more than three days.

Franchisees are responsible for covering all tuition and expenses, including travel, lodging, meals, and applicable wages, for themselves and their trainees when attending these additional programs or seminars. Mr. Sandless also has the right to require any subsequent or additional Designated Managers or Technical Managers to attend the initial training program as a condition for managerial employment.
