What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Mr. Sandless designates a territory for franchisees before they open their business. Specifically, the FDD states that designating the territory is one of Mr. Sandless's pre-opening obligations.

Mr. Sandless also requires franchisees to conduct local advertising to promote their franchised business within their designated territory. Franchisees must spend a minimum of $1,500 each month on local advertising. Mr. Sandless also requires franchisees to furnish quarterly reports and documentation of local advertising expenditures upon request.

These requirements mean that a Mr. Sandless franchisee will have a defined geographic area to focus their marketing efforts. The franchisee must also be prepared to invest a minimum of $1,500 per month in local advertising to promote their business within that territory. This investment is in addition to contributions to the Advertising Fund, which are 1% of gross sales.
