What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Mr. Sandless's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally not permitted to have their own internet webpage in connection with their business, aside from services Mr. Sandless may provide. To establish a website, franchisees must obtain prior written approval from Mr. Sandless, which Mr. Sandless is not required to provide.
This restriction extends to maintaining individual websites related to the business or establishing a URL that incorporates any variation of the "Mr. Sandless" name or proprietary mark without prior written approval. Mr. Sandless maintains control over the brand's online presence and how it is represented.
Mr. Sandless also prohibits franchisees from promoting their business or using the proprietary marks on social or networking websites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, X, Instagram, or TikTok without prior written consent. This indicates a strong emphasis on managing the brand's image and marketing strategies across all online platforms.
These policies ensure uniformity and quality control in online advertising and marketing efforts, but they also limit the franchisee's autonomy in establishing an independent online presence. A prospective franchisee should discuss with Mr. Sandless what options are available for online marketing and what the requirements are for obtaining approval for any online activities.
