What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Monicals Pizza typically does not assist franchisees in hiring employees. However, Monicals Pizza does provide an initial training program that covers material aspects of the operation of the franchised restaurant.
The initial training program is conducted at Monicals Pizza's headquarters in Bradley, Illinois, or another designated location. A designated manager for the franchised restaurant must complete the initial training approximately 12 weeks before the restaurant opens. The franchisee, or at least one individual franchisee if not the same person, must also complete the initial training program before Monicals Pizza approves an opening date. Two assistants may also attend the training at the franchisee's option.
Monicals Pizza does not charge for the initial training, but the franchisee must cover all travel and living expenses for themselves and their attendees. Franchisees are responsible for training their own employees and other management personnel. The franchised restaurant must be supervised daily by a designated manager who has completed the training program. If the designated manager is replaced, the new manager must attend and complete the training program within 60 days. Monicals Pizza does not charge a fee for training a new designated manager unless manager changes are excessive or due to poor hiring practices.
