Monicals_Pizza Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If you would like to use any goods or services in establishing and operating the franchised restaurant that we have not approved (for goods and services that must meet our standards, specifications or that require supplier approval), you must first send us sufficient information, specifications and samples for us to determine whether the goods or services comply with our standards and specifications or the supplier meets our approved supplier criteria. You must pay our expenses to evaluate goods, services or suppliers. We will decide within a reasonable time (usually 30 days) after receiving the required information whether you may purchase or lease the goods or services or use a particular supplier. Our criteria for approving or revoking approval of suppliers includes: the supplier's ability to provide sufficient quantity of goods; quality of goods or services at competitive prices; production and delivery capability; and dependability and general reputation.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Monicals Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is responsible for covering the expenses incurred by Monicals Pizza when evaluating goods, services, or suppliers that the franchisee proposes to use. This applies if the goods or services must meet Monicals Pizza's standards, specifications, or require supplier approval.

In practice, this means that if a Monicals Pizza franchisee wants to source a product or service from a supplier not already approved by the franchisor, they must submit the necessary information and samples to Monicals Pizza for evaluation. The franchisee will then have to pay for the costs Monicals Pizza incurs during this evaluation process. Monicals Pizza will then decide within a reasonable time, typically 30 days after receiving the required information, whether the franchisee can use the proposed goods, services, or supplier.

Monicals Pizza's criteria for approving or rejecting suppliers include the supplier's ability to provide sufficient quantities of goods, the quality of goods or services at competitive prices, production and delivery capabilities, and the supplier's dependability and general reputation. This policy ensures that all Monicals Pizza restaurants maintain consistent quality and standards, even if franchisees propose alternative suppliers.
