What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can request an accounting of the Marketing Fund. The FDD states that an accounting of the Marketing Fund's operation will be prepared annually and made available to the franchisee upon request.
This means that as a Monicals Pizza franchisee, you have the right to review how the Marketing Fund is being managed and how the contributions are being spent. This provides a level of transparency and allows you to stay informed about the financial aspects of the marketing efforts that benefit the Monicals Pizza system.
It's important to note that while you can request an accounting, the Marketing Fund itself is not a trust, and Monicals Pizza does not assume a fiduciary duty in administering it. Monicals Pizza also retains the right to have the Marketing Fund audited by an independent certified public accountant, with the expense borne by the Marketing Fund itself.
