What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Monicals Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must submit all online advertising and promotional materials to Monicals Pizza for prior approval. This requirement is consistent with Section 11.2.2 of the agreement.
Monicals Pizza maintains an internet website, www.monicalspizza.com, that provides information about the Monicals Pizza system and the services that both the franchisor and its franchisees offer. The franchisor may include an intranet section or an interior page on the Monicals Pizza website containing information about the franchised restaurant. If included, the franchisee may be required to prepare all or a portion of the section or page, at the franchisee's expense, using a template that the franchisor provides. All such information is subject to the franchisor's approval before posting.
While franchisees can market their Monicals Pizza restaurant via email and text, they can only use contact information obtained directly from their own restaurant guests. Franchisees are specifically prohibited from enrolling guests using social media or other digital means, except when it is done in conjunction with the online ordering platform. For text marketing, franchisees can only contact guests who have explicitly opted in or agreed to be contacted through their cellphones for marketing purposes, and this program must be managed by an approved third-party vendor.
Monicals Pizza franchisees are restricted from using the brand's trademarks or any variations thereof in domain names, uniform resource locators, or social media presences unless it is part of a program established by the franchisor. The franchisor retains sole ownership of domain names designated in the Confidential Operations Manual.
