What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while there are no explicit restrictions on who can be a customer, Monicals Pizza does place some restrictions on how franchisees can market to potential customers. Specifically, franchisees are limited in how they can obtain email addresses and cellphone numbers for marketing purposes.

Monicals Pizza franchisees may only use email addresses and cellphone numbers obtained directly from guests of their restaurants or from individuals within their protected territory who have registered with Monical's for the Monical Dippin' Club or any successor program. "Guests of its restaurants" are defined as those physically present in the restaurant or those who provide their email address or phone number when placing telephone or online orders.

Furthermore, franchisees are specifically prohibited from enrolling guests using social media or other digital means, except when it's in conjunction with their online ordering platform. These restrictions ensure that Monicals Pizza maintains control over its brand image and customer data, and that marketing efforts are targeted appropriately. Franchisees must also adhere to Monical's internet usage rules, policies, and requirements, and must obtain approval for any linking to or other use of the Monical's Pizza website.
