What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Monicals Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program includes 40 hours dedicated to management skills, administrative procedures, and new store opening. This training takes place at Monicals Pizza's headquarters in Bradley, Illinois, or at another designated location.
The Monicals Pizza franchisee or designated manager must complete this initial training program to the franchisor's satisfaction before an opening date is approved for the new restaurant. Two assistants chosen by the franchisee may also attend the training. However, Monicals Pizza does not cover any travel or living expenses incurred while attending the training program.
Monicals Pizza also requires that the franchised restaurant be under the day-to-day supervision of a designated manager who has completed the training program. If a manager is replaced, the new manager has 60 days to complete the training. Monicals Pizza does not charge a fee for new managers to attend training unless manager changes are excessive or due to poor hiring practices.
