What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for franchises in Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law Title XIV-A Ch. 135, Sec. 135.01-135.07 supersedes any conflicting terms within the Franchise Agreement. This means that if any part of the franchise agreement clashes with the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law, the state law will take precedence.

This protection only applies if the jurisdictional requirements of the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law are independently met, regardless of this specific addendum. In practical terms, Monicals Pizza franchisees in Wisconsin benefit from the additional protections afforded by state law, especially where the franchise agreement might be less favorable to the franchisee.

Prospective franchisees should be aware that this addendum is effective only to the extent that the jurisdictional requirements of the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law are met independently of the addendum. It is important for franchisees to understand the specific provisions of both the Franchise Agreement and the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law to fully grasp their rights and obligations. Consulting with a legal professional experienced in franchise law is advisable to ensure full compliance and understanding.
