What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as part of developing the approved location for their restaurant, franchisees are indeed required to obtain all necessary zoning approvals, permits, and clearances. Specifically, they must secure these items as mandated by state and local laws, ordinances, or regulations.

Furthermore, the franchisee must submit the final construction plans to Monicals Pizza for approval, ensuring that these plans align with the preliminary specifications that Monicals Pizza provides. This step is crucial to ensure that the restaurant's development adheres to the brand's standards and complies with all applicable legal requirements.

In addition to zoning approvals, permits, and clearances, the franchisee is also responsible for obtaining all building, utility, sign, health, and business permits and licenses necessary for both the development and the ongoing operation of the Monicals Pizza restaurant. The franchisee must then certify in writing and provide evidence to Monicals Pizza that all such permits and certifications have been successfully obtained. This comprehensive requirement underscores the franchisee's responsibility for ensuring full legal compliance in establishing and running the restaurant.
