What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Monicals Pizza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term "Mark" refers to any trade name, trademark, service mark, or logo used to identify a Monicals Pizza restaurant. The primary trademark is Monical's Pizza®, but franchisees may also use other trademarks or logos designated by Monicals Pizza in writing. Franchisees are not allowed to use any marks that have not been specifically designated for their use.

This definition is important for prospective franchisees because it clarifies the scope of the trademarks they are licensed to use. It also restricts them from using any unauthorized trademarks or logos, ensuring brand consistency across all Monicals Pizza locations. Franchisees must adhere to these guidelines to avoid breaching the franchise agreement and infringing on Monicals Pizza's trademark rights.

Monicals Pizza maintains control over its brand identity by defining and limiting the use of its marks. This is a common practice in franchising, as it protects the brand's reputation and ensures uniformity. Franchisees should carefully review the list of approved marks and usage guidelines to ensure compliance and avoid potential legal issues.
