We do not make any representations about a franchisee's future financial performance or the past financial performance of company-owned or franchised outlets. We also do not authorize our employees or
representatives to make any such representations either orally or in writing. If you are purchasing an existing outlet, however, we may provide you with actual records of that outlet. If you receive any other financial performance information or projections of your future income, you should report it to the franchisor's management by contacting Jeff Whitehouse, 530 N. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Monicals Pizza Franchise Disclosure Document, Monicals Pizza does not authorize its employees or representatives to make any representations about a franchisee's future financial performance, either orally or in writing. The FDD states that Monicals Pizza itself does not make any representations about a franchisee's future financial performance or the past financial performance of company-owned or franchised outlets.
However, if a prospective franchisee is purchasing an existing Monicals Pizza outlet, the franchisor may provide the actual records of that specific outlet. The FDD also notes that if a prospective franchisee receives any other financial performance information or projections of their future income, they should report it to Monicals Pizza's management, the Federal Trade Commission, and the appropriate state regulatory agencies.
This policy is typical in franchising, as franchisors generally avoid making earnings claims unless they have a reasonable basis and include the information in Item 19 of the FDD. This is to protect both the franchisee and the franchisor from unrealistic expectations and potential legal issues. Prospective franchisees should be wary of any financial projections or promises made outside of the official FDD and should conduct their own independent financial analysis before investing in a Monicals Pizza franchise.
