What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Moe's Southwest Grill's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a transferee, along with their directors, officers, shareholders, partners, members, managers, and any other designated personnel, must satisfactorily complete the Management Training Program before the transfer date. This requirement is in addition to any other conditions that Moe's Southwest Grill may specify for a proposed Control Transfer. Moe's Southwest Grill retains sole and absolute discretion to grant or withhold consent for a proposed Control Transfer.

This Management Training Program ensures that the new operators are well-versed in the Moe's Southwest Grill system, standards, and procedures. The FDD does not specify the length, content, or location of this training program, but it does state that Moe's Southwest Grill has the right to determine whether a trainee has successfully completed the program. If a required trainee fails to complete the program, they must re-enroll in the next scheduled applicable Management Training Program at no additional charge.

Prospective franchisees should note that successfully completing the Management Training Program is a critical step in the transfer process. Failure to meet this requirement can delay or even prevent the transfer. It is important for potential transferees to budget time and resources for this training and to ensure that all designated personnel are prepared to meet Moe's Southwest Grill's standards. Franchisees should inquire with the franchisor about the specifics of the Management Training Program to fully understand the expectations and requirements for successful completion.
