What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Moe's Southwest Grill's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must promptly address customer complaints. Specifically, the franchisee is required to handle guest contact requests and customer complaints according to the standards detailed in the manuals. This includes responding to and resolving these issues within the time periods that are specified in the manuals.
Failure to comply with these standards can result in financial penalties for the franchisee. Moe's Southwest Grill may charge a guest relations fee if the franchisee receives an excessive number of complaints or fails to respond to or resolve complaints within the time frame outlined in the manuals.
The guest relations fee is currently $30 for each excessive complaint or each complaint or contact request that is not addressed promptly. Moe's Southwest Grill retains the right to modify this fee, the time period for responding to complaints, and the definition of what constitutes an excessive number of complaints. However, the fee cannot be increased by more than the Allowed Adjustment in any given year. This policy underscores the importance Moe's Southwest Grill places on customer service and satisfaction, and the financial implications for franchisees who do not meet these standards.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review the Moe's Southwest Grill manuals to fully understand the specific standards and timeframes required for addressing customer complaints. Understanding these expectations is crucial for maintaining a positive brand reputation and avoiding potential fees.
