What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Moe's Southwest Grill Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee must designate a Primary Contact who is acceptable to Moe's Southwest Grill. This individual must be empowered with the responsibility and decision-making authority regarding the franchised business and its operation. Moe's Southwest Grill retains the right to rely upon this Primary Contact for all such purposes.
The Primary Contact is required to successfully complete any training programs that Moe's Southwest Grill specifies and must meet any other standards the franchisor requires for the position. The franchisee must promptly inform Moe's Southwest Grill of the death, disability, or termination of employment of the Primary Contact. Within 30 days of such an event, the franchisee must designate a successor or acting Primary Contact.
Furthermore, the franchisee cannot remove or replace the Primary Contact without obtaining prior written approval from Moe's Southwest Grill. This ensures that the individual in charge meets the franchisor's standards and maintains consistency in the operation of the franchise. This requirement is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors want to ensure that qualified individuals are managing the business to protect brand standards and operational efficiency.
