Under what condition is a Marble Slab Creamery franchisee prohibited from operating a Satellite?

According to Marble Slab Creamery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is prohibited from operating a Satellite location if they do not enter into a Satellite Addendum with the franchisor. The standard franchise agreement grants franchisees the right to operate a Marble Slab Creamery Restaurant at an approved location.

However, to operate a Satellite—defined as a facility like a kiosk or cart within the same shopping center, mall, or venue as the primary restaurant—the franchisee must obtain a Satellite Addendum. This addendum grants the franchisee the right to offer Marble Slab Creamery products from the Satellite location in exchange for an additional satellite fee.

Without this Satellite Addendum, the franchisee has no right to operate any Satellites in addition to their primary Marble Slab Creamery Restaurant. This ensures that Marble Slab Creamery maintains control over the brand's presence and quality standards, even in smaller, supplementary locations.
