What will be specified in the Management Agreement between Marble Slab Creamery and the franchisee?

Under either the Single Restaurant Program or the Multi-Restaurant Program, you may also enter into a Management Agreement with us or our affiliate, if we agree (or our affiliate agrees) to do so. If we or our affiliate do sign a Management Agreement with you, we will provide you with additional advice regarding the operation and management of your Restaurant. The precise level of advice and service, and, if agreed upon, our obligation to manage your Restaurant and supervise your management and supervisory personnel and other employees will be identified in the Management Agreement. Except to the limited extent provided in the Management Agreement, if at all, neither we nor our affiliate perform other services, such as accounting, human resources, and record-keeping, and you will continue to be responsible for these.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Marble Slab Creamery FDD, a franchisee may enter into a Management Agreement with Marble Slab Creamery or its affiliate under either the Single Restaurant Program or the Multi-Restaurant Program. If Marble Slab Creamery or its affiliate agrees to sign a Management Agreement, they will provide the franchisee with additional advice regarding the operation and management of their restaurant.
The Management Agreement will specify the precise level of advice and service to be provided. If agreed upon, it will also outline Marble Slab Creamery's obligation to manage the restaurant and supervise the franchisee's management, supervisory personnel, and other employees.
It's important to note that, unless specifically stated in the Management Agreement, neither Marble Slab Creamery nor its affiliate will perform other services such as accounting, human resources, and record-keeping. The franchisee will remain responsible for these functions. This agreement is optional and only comes into effect if both Marble Slab Creamery (or its affiliate) and the franchisee agree to it.
