What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Marble Slab Creamery FDD, there are no specific requirements or restrictions on public figures owning a franchise. Marble Slab Creamery does not actively use public figures to promote its franchise system at a national level. However, the FDD notes that some existing franchisees may be public figures.
These public figure franchisees are free to promote their individual Marble Slab Creamery stores and the brand in general. It is important to note that Marble Slab Creamery does not provide any compensation to these public figures for their promotional activities. This means that any promotional efforts undertaken by a public figure franchisee are done on their own initiative and at their own expense.
For prospective franchisees who are public figures, this presents both an opportunity and a responsibility. The opportunity lies in the potential to leverage their public image to drive business to their Marble Slab Creamery location. The responsibility is to ensure that their promotional activities align with the brand standards and values of Marble Slab Creamery, even though they are not directed or compensated by the franchisor.
