What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Marble Slab Creamery Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement does allow for co-branded stores. The FDD defines a 'Co-Brand Store' as a restaurant co-branded with other food concepts, offering products from other systems. The entities that license or franchise these other concepts are referred to as 'Co-Brand Licensors.'

Before a Marble Slab Creamery franchisee can enter into any agreements with a proposed Co-Brand Licensor, they must receive written approval from Marble Slab Creamery. Marble Slab Creamery has the discretion to withhold this approval for any reason. Marble Slab Creamery may also require that the Co-Brand Licensor be an affiliate of the franchisor.

If a franchisee wishes to operate a co-branded store with a licensor that is not an affiliate of Marble Slab Creamery, the franchisee must provide Marble Slab Creamery with any requested information about the proposed licensor. This includes existing agreements the franchisee has with them for other restaurants, proposed agreements for operating their concepts with the Marble Slab Creamery restaurant, and any proposed modifications to existing agreements.
