- (f) We will provide you with an approved opening date for your Restaurant, after you have provided evidence to us that you have met all of the requirements necessary to be certified to open. (Franchise Agreement - Section 5.9)
- (h) You will be responsible for purchasing an operations manual and any supplemental materials prior to attending training. (Franchise Agreement – Section 7) You or the owner, if the franchisee is a business entity, must complete to our satisfaction the initial training program. Once you have located a potential site, you must submit to us for our review a real estate site evaluation package, including demographic and other information regarding the proposed site and neighboring areas. If we accept the site, we will notify you of our acceptance, which will be conditioned on you entering into a final lease or purchase agreement (and any other conditions we may impose). You are solely responsible for locating and selecting a suitable site for the Restaurant. We will review your final plans, which we must approve before you begin permitting and construction of your Restaurant. (Franchise Agreement - Section 4.3)

According to the 2025 Marble Slab Creamery FDD, before a franchisee can open their restaurant, they must provide evidence that they have met all the requirements necessary to be certified to open. Marble Slab Creamery will provide an approved opening date after this evidence is provided.
Prior to attending training, the franchisee is responsible for purchasing an operations manual and any supplemental materials. The franchisee, or owner if the franchisee is a business entity, must complete the initial training program to the satisfaction of Marble Slab Creamery. The initial training program is supervised by FAT's Sr. Director of QSR Operations.
Before construction, Marble Slab Creamery must approve the franchisee's final plans. For site selection, the franchisee must submit a real estate site evaluation package, including demographic and other information regarding the proposed site and neighboring areas, for Marble Slab Creamery's review. The acceptance of the site is conditional on the franchisee entering into a final lease or purchase agreement. The franchisee is responsible for locating and selecting a suitable site for the Restaurant.
