What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Marble Slab Creamery Franchise Disclosure Document, the construction company designated by Marble Slab Creamery employs the contractors and other personnel required for the restaurant's construction.

Marble Slab Creamery maintains significant control over the construction and remodeling process. Franchisees are generally required to use a construction company that Marble Slab Creamery designates. However, at the franchisee's request and Marble Slab Creamery's discretion, a franchisee-selected architect and contractor may be approved. If the franchisee uses an architect not designated by Marble Slab Creamery, the franchisee must reimburse Marble Slab Creamery for the costs of reviewing the architect's designs and plans.

Prospective franchisees should be aware of these restrictions, as they limit the franchisee's choice of construction personnel and may increase costs if they opt to use their own architect. Franchisees must provide Marble Slab Creamery with all necessary information to evaluate their proposed architect and/or contractor, including past experience, references, financial stability, and insurance. This ensures that the construction meets Marble Slab Creamery's standards and specifications.
