According to Marble Slab Creamery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, additional training programs may be mandatory. The franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Marble Slab Creamery for the costs of training any new manager, assistant manager, or shift leader, up to $500 per week for each individual. Marble Slab Creamery provides the instructors and most instructional materials. However, the franchisee or their employees must cover all costs associated with transportation, lodging, food, and wages during the training.

This could be due to new products, updated procedures, or performance issues. The franchisee needs to factor in the potential costs of this ongoing training, both in terms of direct reimbursement to Marble Slab Creamery and the indirect costs of travel, accommodation, and wages for the staff attending the training.
