Under the Federal Copyright Act (the "Act), a copyright arises upon creation of the work and continues for 75 years. The Act does not require registration and our copyrighted materials are not registered. We claim copyrights and other proprietary rights in our Manual and other materials we provide to you for the operation of your Franchised Business. You may use all of these materials while you are a member. You and your employees may only use them for the operation of the Franchised Business. You must keep them confidential. You may not use them in any other business or provide them or copies of them to any person other than your employees. You must return them to us if your franchise agreement is terminated or expires.

According to Management Recruiters's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a copyright under the Federal Copyright Act lasts for 75 years from the creation of the work. Management Recruiters claims copyrights and other proprietary rights in its Manual and other materials provided to franchisees for operating their franchised businesses. These materials can only be used while the franchisee is a member of the Management Recruiters franchise system and solely for the operation of the Franchised Business. Franchisees must keep these materials confidential and cannot use them in any other business or provide them to anyone other than their employees. Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, all copyrighted materials must be returned to Management Recruiters.
Management Recruiters does not register its copyrighted materials, as registration is not required under the Act. Franchisees are granted the right to use these copyrighted materials during the term of their agreement. However, franchisees must notify Management Recruiters immediately if they become aware of any infringement or challenges to the use of these copyrights. Management Recruiters will then take action as it deems appropriate.
If a franchisee provides timely notice of copyright infringement and is in full compliance with the Franchise Agreement and proper use of the copyrights, Management Recruiters will indemnify the franchisee for all expenses and damages arising from any claim challenging the authorized use of the copyrights. Management Recruiters retains the right to control any administrative proceedings or litigation involving the copyrights licensed to franchisees, and franchisees must fully cooperate in defending or settling any such litigation.
