What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Management Recruiters' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Management Recruiters reserves the right to approve or deny any requests for the extension of credit in its absolute discretion. This means that Management Recruiters has the sole authority to decide whether or not to provide financing to a franchisee, and they are not obligated to provide a reason for their decision. Furthermore, even if Management Recruiters approves an initial credit extension, they are not obligated to provide additional credit under the same or any other arrangement. They also do not guarantee any franchisee's financial obligations.

This discretion gives Management Recruiters significant control over who receives financing. A prospective franchisee should not assume that financing will be available, even if they meet the general eligibility requirements. The FDD outlines several eligibility requirements to apply for a loan, including having no outstanding obligations to Management Recruiters older than 30 days (except for indebtedness that is in good standing and that may be refinanced), having a satisfactory credit rating, agreeing to execute an amendment to the Franchise Agreement extending its term (if necessary) at least to the date on which the loan is scheduled to be repaid in full, meeting Management Recruiters' then-current operating standards, and being of better than average qualifications.

This policy is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors often want to maintain control over financial relationships with their franchisees. However, it is important for prospective franchisees to understand that financing from Management Recruiters is not guaranteed and to explore alternative financing options if necessary. Franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this discretion and its potential impact on their ability to start or expand their Management Recruiters franchise.
