According to the 2025 Lees Famous Recipe Franchise Disclosure Document, the mandatory initial training must be completed at least 30 days before the restaurant opens for business. This training is provided at a designated franchised Lees Famous Recipe Restaurant or another training facility location that the company designates.
The training program lasts approximately six to eight weeks. The duration depends on the franchisee's prior restaurant industry experience. Franchisees should factor in the time commitment for this training when planning their restaurant launch.
In addition to the time commitment, franchisees must also consider the costs associated with training. Lees Famous Recipe charges a $5,000 fee for tuition and materials for up to four attendees. Franchisees are also responsible for covering transportation, lodging, food, and incidental expenses for themselves and their designated management employees during the training period. Franchisees must also pay the salaries and any benefits of their designated management employees while they attend training.
