What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Lees Famous Recipe's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, financing for the Computer System may be available from designated suppliers. The estimated cost for the computer system ranges from $1,000 to $2,000, while the POS system is estimated to cost between $30,000 and $40,000.
The FDD also states that franchisees must purchase or lease a POS System approved in writing by Lees Famous Recipe. Currently, the only approved POS system is Focus POS. The POS system is responsible for managing daily workflow, coordinating customer orders, tracking inventory, food costs, labor, and other financial information. It should also be capable of providing detailed information in both dollar amounts and percentages, including "ideal usage", "actual usage", and "ideal food cost" reports.
Lees Famous Recipe also requires franchisees to purchase certain back-office software from an approved vendor, which currently costs between $100 and $200 per unit per month. This software includes features for inventory management and food cost management. While franchisees are not currently required to purchase other computer system components from an approved vendor, Lees Famous Recipe reserves the right to implement such a requirement in the future. Any software fees are paid directly to the relevant approved third-party supplier.
