What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Lees Famous Recipe's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will either designate or approve the licensed architect that the franchisee uses to construct a Traditional Stand-alone Lee's Famous Recipe Restaurant. The franchisor must also approve all proposed modifications to the basic architectural plans and specifications before construction begins.
Lees Famous Recipe also provides a copy of one set of preliminary architectural plans and/or written specifications for a Traditional Stand-alone Restaurant when they accept a proposed site. This requirement ensures that all Lees Famous Recipe restaurants adhere to the brand's standards and specifications, maintaining a consistent look and feel across all locations. For a prospective franchisee, this means they will need to work with an architect that is either designated or approved by Lees Famous Recipe, and any changes to the standard plans must also be approved by the franchisor.
