What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a resolution is not reached after meeting with the CEO or their agent, a party must request mediation within thirty days of receiving the Response. The Response is Ledgers' written reply to a dispute, which includes either a corrective action plan or an explanation of why the matter is not considered a breach.
To formally request mediation with Ledgers, a franchisee must take three specific actions. First, they must complete the request for mediation form available at a specific website address. Second, they are required to pay the applicable fee for mediation services. Finally, the franchisee must notify Ledgers that they are requesting mediation.
Following these steps initiates the mediation process, which will be conducted according to the American Arbitration Association (AAA) mediation rules. If mediation fails to resolve the issue, the matter must then be submitted to arbitration under AAA rules.
