What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Customer Data' is classified as 'Confidential Information.' This includes all information about customers that Ledgers franchisees collect while providing services. Specifically, this encompasses the customer's name, telephone number, address, and email address.
As a Ledgers franchisee, it is critical to understand that this customer data is considered proprietary and confidential. Franchisees are prohibited from revealing this information to any other person or entity, or using it for the benefit of any other person or business, not only during the term of the Franchise Agreement but also after it expires or is terminated. This restriction is designed to protect the Ledgers system and maintain the privacy of customer information.
Ledgers retains all rights and title to the Client Data during and after the term of the agreement. Franchisees maintain an economic interest in providing services to clients during the term of their Franchised Business and may use Client Data during the Term as permitted by the Agreement and the Manual as long as the use is consistent with applicable law. However, the franchisee's economic interest in Client Data and use of Client Data ends upon termination of the Franchise Agreement.
