What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Ledgers retains significant rights to review a franchisee's business operations. Ledgers requires franchisees to provide independent access to information generated or stored in their computer systems, including customer, transaction, and operational data. This access must be unrestricted and independent, extending to both computer systems and security camera systems.
Ledgers has the right to review a franchisee's business operations through various means, including in-person visits, mail correspondence, or electronic access. This review extends to inspecting operations and obtaining paper and electronic business records related to the franchised business and any other operations taking place through the franchised business.
Furthermore, if Ledgers requests copies of any business records as part of a business review, the franchisee is obligated to send these records at their own expense within five business days of receiving the request. This comprehensive access and review power allows Ledgers to maintain oversight and ensure compliance with its standards and procedures across all franchise locations.
