What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Ledgers does provide specifications for signage in its Manual. The franchisee is responsible for obtaining signage that conforms to the templates and specifications provided by Ledgers in its Manual. If a franchisee needs to modify the signage templates or specifications to meet their needs or the restrictions of their office location, they must obtain written approval from Ledgers' operations department. Ledgers typically responds to these requests within five days.

This means that while franchisees have some autonomy in choosing their office location and layout, they must adhere to Ledgers' brand standards when it comes to signage. This ensures a consistent brand image across all franchise locations. The requirement to obtain written approval for modifications provides Ledgers with control over its brand representation, while also allowing franchisees to adapt to specific location requirements.

For a prospective Ledgers franchisee, this implies that they should carefully review the signage specifications in the Manual and factor in the cost of compliant signage when budgeting for their initial investment. They should also be aware of the process for requesting modifications and the potential time it may take to receive approval. This process ensures that the franchisee upholds the brand image of Ledgers.
