What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial training can be conducted online. The FDD states that Ledgers holds initial training in Virginia Beach, Virginia, another designated training center, or online, at their choosing. This provides flexibility for both the franchisor and the franchisee.
This means a prospective Ledgers franchisee may have the option to complete the initial training program remotely, rather than having to travel to a physical location. This could save on travel, lodging, and meal costs, as well as the wages of employees attending the training. However, the FDD also states that Ledgers ultimately chooses the training location, so online training is not guaranteed.
Ledgers also may elect to offer and require franchisees to attend additional training and seminars either live or electronically. Franchisees are responsible for any travel and living expenses incurred to attend these additional training sessions. This suggests that Ledgers is committed to providing ongoing support and training to its franchisees, and is willing to use technology to deliver that training.
