What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program includes one hour of classroom training for the 'Introductions and Overview' subject. This is part of a broader initial training program that Ledgers provides to new franchisees. The training takes place in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, another designated training location, or online, at Ledgers' choosing.
Ledgers does not charge franchisees to attend the initial training, but the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, lodging, transportation, meal costs, and wages for their employees during the training period. The FDD specifies that either the franchisee or, in the case of an entity, its principals must attend the initial training. Management personnel may also be enrolled upon approval from Ledgers.
Successful completion of the initial training program to Ledgers' satisfaction is a prerequisite for operating a franchised business. Franchisees are advised during or immediately after the training if they have successfully completed the course. Ledgers may also offer additional training or seminars, either live or electronically, which franchisees may be required to attend, with the franchisee bearing the associated travel and living expenses.
