What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for obtaining signage that conforms to the templates and specifications provided in the manual. If a Ledgers franchisee needs to modify the provided signage templates or specifications to meet their specific needs or the restrictions of their office location, they must obtain written approval from Ledgers.
The process involves submitting a request to Ledgers's operations department. Ledgers states that they typically respond to these requests within five days. This requirement ensures that all signage maintains brand consistency and adheres to Ledgers's standards, even while accommodating local requirements or franchisee needs.
This stipulation is fairly standard in franchising, as franchisors like Ledgers need to protect their brand identity and ensure a consistent image across all locations. By requiring written approval for modifications, Ledgers retains control over its branding while allowing franchisees some flexibility to adapt to their specific circumstances. Franchisees should factor this approval process into their timeline when setting up their office to avoid delays.
