What happens if Ledgers does not provide written approval of a franchisee's advertising materials within fourteen days of receiving the request?
Ledgers Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must use our advertising templates or, if you wish to use your own advertising materials, you may do so if:
-
- you submit them to us;
-
- they conform to the Manual;
-
- they adhere to federal, state and local law; and
-
- we approve them, in writing. If our written approval is not received within fourteen (14) days that we receive the request, then the material is deemed disapproved.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use Ledgers' advertising templates or get approval to use their own advertising materials. To use their own materials, franchisees must submit them to Ledgers, ensure they conform to the operations manual and all applicable laws, and receive written approval from Ledgers.
If Ledgers does not provide written approval within fourteen days of receiving the franchisee's request, the advertising material is considered disapproved. This means a franchisee cannot use the advertising material they submitted if they do not receive written approval from Ledgers within the specified timeframe.
This requirement ensures that all advertising and promotional materials used by Ledgers franchisees align with the brand's standards and comply with legal requirements. Franchisees should factor in this approval timeline when planning their marketing efforts to avoid delays or the use of unapproved materials.
