Client Data is Confidential Information. We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Client Data during and after the Term of this agreement. You maintain an economic interest in providing Services to Clients during the Term of your Franchised Business. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Client Data is considered Confidential Information, and Ledgers retains all rights to it during and after the franchise agreement term. However, during the term of the agreement, a Ledgers franchisee has an economic interest in providing services to clients and may use client data as permitted by the agreement and the Ledgers manual, provided such use is consistent with applicable law. Client Data includes any information collected about clients in connection with their use of services, such as name, telephone number, address, and email address.

This means that while franchisees can leverage client data to provide services and manage their business operations, they must adhere to the guidelines set forth in the franchise agreement and the operations manual. This ensures that client data is handled responsibly and in compliance with privacy laws.

Upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee's right to use client data ends. This is a critical point for prospective franchisees to understand, as the client relationships and associated data built during the franchise term ultimately belong to Ledgers. Franchisees should seek clarification on specific permitted uses of client data and the procedures for handling it both during and after the franchise term to avoid any potential disputes or compliance issues.
