What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Ledgers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Customer Data' is explicitly considered 'Confidential Information'. This includes all information about customers collected in connection with their use of Ledgers' services. Examples of customer data include their name, telephone number, address, and email address.

As a Ledgers franchisee, you are obligated to protect this confidential customer data. Upon termination of the Franchise Agreement, you must return any confidential information to Ledgers. During the term of the agreement, or after it expires or is terminated, you are prohibited from revealing any confidential information to any other person or entity, or using it for the benefit of any other person or business.

Ledgers also retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Client Data during and after the term of the agreement. Franchisees maintain an economic interest in providing services to clients during the term of their Franchised Business and may use Client Data during the Term as permitted by the Agreement and Ledgers' Manual as long as the use is consistent with applicable law. However, your economic interest in Client Data and use of Client Data ends upon termination of the Franchise Agreement.
