What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Ledgers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, either the franchisee or their Business Manager must attend the Annual Convention. While Ledgers does not charge an admission fee for the Annual Convention, the franchisee is responsible for travel-related expenditures, including lodging, meals, and transportation.
In addition to travel costs, Ledgers may require franchisees to obtain materials for use in their business at the Annual Convention, and the franchisee will be responsible for the cost of these materials. This implies that Ledgers could introduce new products, services, or operational changes at the convention that necessitate the purchase of specific materials for implementation.
Prospective Ledgers franchisees should budget not only for the obvious travel expenses but also for potential material costs when planning for the Annual Convention. It would be prudent to inquire with Ledgers about the typical range of material costs associated with past conventions to better estimate these expenses.
