What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Ledgers's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when franchisees undertake local advertising and promotions, they must adhere to specific requirements. Firstly, all advertising and promotional activities must reflect favorably on the Ledgers brand. Secondly, franchisees are required to participate in all promotional programs that Ledgers creates, offers, or advertises. Lastly, all advertising must comply with federal, state, and local laws.

These stipulations ensure that the Ledgers brand maintains a consistent and positive image across all franchise locations. By mandating participation in promotional programs, Ledgers aims to create unified marketing efforts that benefit all franchisees. Compliance with legal standards is a basic but crucial requirement, ensuring that franchisees do not engage in deceptive or unlawful advertising practices.

Furthermore, Ledgers provides advertising templates and requires franchisees to submit their own advertising materials for approval to ensure compliance with the brand's standards and legal requirements. If Ledgers does not provide written disapproval within fourteen days of receiving the request, the material is deemed disapproved. This process allows Ledgers to maintain control over its brand image and ensure that all advertising is consistent with its overall marketing strategy. Franchisees must also adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Manual and obtain written approval before using their own advertising materials or establishing independent websites.
