Under what condition is the Area Development Fee paid to Learningrx?
Learningrx Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you sign an Area Development Agreement, you must pay an Area Development Fee, which is based on the number of Centers you are authorized to develop. You will pay the Area Development Fee at the time you sign the Area Development Agreement.
The Area Development Fee is equal to 35% of the value of our then-current Initial Franchise Fee and Initial Training and Materials Fee multiplied by the number of additional Centers, after your initial Center, granted pursuant to the Area Development Agreement. The Area Development Fee is for the right to open and operate additional Centers (provided you comply with your development obligations under the Area Developer Agreement). If you choose to open more than two Centers, the Area Development Fee will increase by either $10,500 (Micro Center) or $15,750 (Standard Center) for each additional Center, after your initial Center, that we will grant you the right to open and operate under the Area Developer Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Learningrx Franchise Disclosure Document, the Area Development Fee is paid when signing an Area Development Agreement. This fee grants the franchisee the right to open and operate additional Learningrx centers, provided they meet the obligations outlined in the Area Development Agreement. The fee itself is a lump sum payment made directly to Learningrx.
The Area Development Fee is calculated as 35% of the then-current Initial Franchise Fee and Initial Training and Materials Fee, multiplied by the number of additional centers the franchisee is authorized to develop beyond the initial center. For franchisees who choose to open more than two centers, the Area Development Fee increases by $10,500 for each additional Micro Center or $15,750 for each additional Standard Center.
For example, the estimated initial investment chart shows that the Area Development Fee is $10,500 for a Micro Franchise and $15,750 for a Standard Franchise. This fee is due upon the execution of the Area Developer Agreement.
