What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a proposed transferee is generally required to pay for, attend, and satisfactorily complete the training program for new franchisees. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If the transferee is a current Learningrx franchisee or an administrative staff member in good standing within the Learningrx system who has already completed a full franchise training and meets the current training requirements for a Center's staff, this requirement is waived.
In most cases, the proposed transferee must also pay an Initial Training and Materials Fee of $10,000 upon signing the franchise agreement. However, if the transferee is another Learningrx franchisee, the Initial Training and Materials Fee is reduced to $6,000. This fee is fully earned upon payment and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
In addition to training, Learningrx also stipulates other conditions for transfer. The franchisee must settle all outstanding accounts with Learningrx, and both the franchisee and its principals must execute a general release of Learningrx. The proposed transferee must execute a separate franchise agreement and may need to provide personal guarantees to ensure the performance of the obligations.
