What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Learningrx does not currently have any purchasing or distribution cooperatives. However, Learningrx retains the option to negotiate purchase arrangements with other suppliers and distributors for the benefit of its franchisees in the future.
Learningrx also mentions the possibility of receiving rebates or volume discounts from its purchases of products that it resells to franchisees. It is common practice in franchising for franchisors to negotiate with suppliers to leverage the collective buying power of the franchise system, potentially leading to lower costs for franchisees.
Learningrx also requires franchisees to purchase certain marketing materials, equipment, services, supplies, and materials from approved or designated suppliers, as outlined in the Operations Manual. If a franchisee wishes to use a different supplier, they can submit a "Supplier Approval Criteria and Request Form" for Learningrx to review. Learningrx will then assess the proposed supplier based on factors such as vendor reputation, product quality, delivery performance, and credit rating. Learningrx has 30 days to approve or disapprove the proposed supplier.
Learningrx expects to derive income from franchisees' required purchases from designated and approved suppliers through rebates. These rebates are intended to partially reimburse Learningrx for the costs associated with sourcing, approving, and monitoring supplier compliance with quality standards. However, Learningrx may receive rebates exceeding these costs.
