What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Learningrx's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when an Area Developer (which may or may not be the franchisee) locates a potential site for a Learningrx center, they must submit specific information to Learningrx for approval. This information includes lease terms, land acquisition terms, demographic criteria, and preliminary site plans. The site plans should illustrate building orientation, the proposed unit location, and the parking layout.
Learningrx retains the right to request additional information about the site and the proposed franchisee entity, if applicable, and the Area Developer must provide this information promptly. Learningrx has the authority to approve or reject any location submitted by the Area Developer at its sole discretion.
This process ensures that Learningrx maintains control over site selection, which they consider a factor in the potential success of the business. The franchisee bears the responsibility of finding a suitable location and negotiating the lease, but Learningrx provides advice and assistance and has final approval. This protects Learningrx's brand and ensures consistent standards across all franchise locations.
